Active ingredient : glyphosate

*Weedsate  is  a broad spectrum   non selective  systemic  post emergence   herbicide that kills all weeds (annuals, biennials, perennials) in non cropped area .

* Systemic – are absorbed by foliage or roots and moves throughout   all  the  parts of the weed  plant.

*Post emergence-kills weeds that have emerged.

  MODE OF ACTION   LEADING  TO DEATH OF THE WEED

*(a)Weedsate ( a.i  glyphosate)  kills plants by stopping  the activities of enzymes present in chloroplast   which forms essentials  amino acids, without amino acids , plants can not make proteins, growth stops, followed by cells disruption,wilting, desiccation then  eventual death.

*(b)Weedsate ( a.i  glyphosate)  forms complex compounds (Chelates) with some  metal ions found in  weed plants  i.e calcium,magnesium, copper, Iron,Zinc etc making them unfavorable  to the  weed plants , thereby disrupting vital metabolic processes   leading to lethal death.

GENERAL EFFICACY (EFFECTIVENESS) GUIDANCE

*For best results apply to actively growing   weeds with enough leaf to absorb the chemical.

*Rain free  period of at least  6 hours  should follow spraying for best results.

*Mixtures with other pesticides or fertilizers  may lead to reduced  control.

*Do not leave diluted  chemical in spray tanks  for a long periods and make sure that tanks are well vented.

 GENERAL USAGE

*Applied  to actively growing weeds before planting as land preparation process.

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION

*Weedsate  has been used in coffee wiping  out actively growing  weeds  under coffee. Target weeds    when spraying.

*Weedsate   has been used in Sugarcane, killing actively growing weeds in sugar cane. Target weeds    when spraying.
